I will have 5×7 invitation and a 4×6 RSVP postcard. I am wondering if I tied a ribbon what semi-permanent glue do you use to make sure things the small RSVP card doesn’t move inside the envelope.
Should I tie them together with a ribbon or just a belly band ? Would the square knot ribbon be crushed during mailing?

Bumping this thread….I am in the same situation as the original poster.
I bought 1 in wide satin ribbon to use as both decoratation and to secure my invitation suite together. I was up till midnight last night trying to figure out how to tie the ribbon around the invite, rsvp/envelope, enclosure card, etc without everything shifting around in the envelope. Any of you crafty DIY ladies out there found any solutions to this? I also looked online last night and only found tutorials and instructions on how to make belly bands, etc but not how to secure everything in place without it shifting. Please help!

@UrbanGem: I finally gave up and bought pocketfolds. Good luck.

How about using a paper clip to clip them together before bundling up with the ribbon? In this way, the invitation suite will look nicely stacked while the paper clip is hidden underneath the ribbon.
