@Bainise2013:  Yes, get it resized!

I lost 21lbs and my finger shrank from 6.5 to 5.25. I had my new ring sized to a 5.5 however as my finger swells in heat/summer, so I wanted to allow for that, plus apparently it can be smaller once you wear a wedding band with it.

Before, my ring swivelled all. the. time. It drove me insane, esp in cold weather. Now it fits perfectly.

From what you’ve said, I would def get it resized. Not only is it really irritating having it swivel, but you might be more likely to damage it, or, if it’s very big, may risk losing it/having it slip off.

My ring spins, but if I had it sized any smaller, it wouldn’t fit over my knuckle.  Just something to keep in mind.

You should get it re-sized!

You should ask a jeweler.

Try it on with a wedding band before getting it resized.  My engagement ring is slightly too big, but fits fine with a wedding band.  I’m planning on dealing with it being slightly too big until I get married and then see if it fits great with my wedding band (I’ve only tried on my friends’ wedding bands).

ETA: I’ve already gotten mine resized to be a half size smaller because I could shake it off when I first got it.  Now it’s not going to fall off (I don’t think so anyway!) but it spins easily and shifts a lot up to my knuckle.

Mine does the exact same thing. I live with it though because I can’t get mind sized. If you can get it sized, I would. It sure is annoying constantly having this thing spinning on my finger, so I totally know what you are going through!

Just make sure you aren’t going to have to size it back up after a time.

I say get it resized…mine spins a little when I’m cold, but would never slide up towards my knuckle.  Better safe than sorry!

 I agree with   @arielmerms:, a wedding band will make it tighter again. After I started wearing my band, I had to get both rings sized up 1/2 a size. Your wedding is right around the corner.

you can get a temporary ring snuggie until then, they sell them at wal mart and I think I saw them at Claires or Icing too.
