How are all you ladies out there labeling every couples dinner selection for the waiters? Ex. one couple ordered 1 chicken and 1 pork. How are you going about setting it up so the waiters know what to bring to who. I dont want them to just say what they ordered when it comes out in fear of them changing their mind & others not getting what they ordered in result from that.

@sarah0517: I went to a wedding where meal choice was indicated by a little tiny colored sticker in the upper right of the escort card on the table.

I had a colour coded seating chart for our waitstaff and chef that included meal selection and allergies. I just used highlighters and our floor plan. Yes, I’m totally anal retentive and I didn’t want to put anything on the place cards 😉

I’m using a different color border for each selection on my place cards. Dark red, gold, or none. 🙂

@bakerella: The seating cards at this wedding also included letters for allergies and preferences (i.e. mine had a small notation for no shellfish and my Fiance had his own notation for the fact that he’s a weirdo who doesn’t eat fruit).

I’m just putting a little letter (eg, b for beef, c for chicken,) in the corner of the card.
