@emmrr3:  The best advise I have for you is to get a warranty and insurance. Besides that use a soft toothbrush and a mild soap to clean it. That is all I do and it works.

I get mine cleaned very 6 months or when I am in the shop that I got it in.  They are quick, it is free and that is all that counts.  I don’t do alot of baking in my ring like breads or anything that I need to really dig into because I don’t want goo getting stuck in it, however, I do shower, sleep, exercise and pretty much eveyrthing else with my ring on and it is just fine.

I clean my ring with a soft toothbrush and mild dish soap (we have ecover at home).  It sparkles like crazy when I do this 🙂

I wear it to sleep and to the gym, but not to shower (it’s very slightly too big and I’m afraid of it slipping off) or wash dishes or make food that requires my hands getting dirty (meatballs, making dough of any kind, etc.)

It’s also been insured since the day I got it.

Windex cut with water will make it SUPER sparkly 🙂 Also, get yourself a ring holder, Vera Wang makes some GORGEOUS crystal ones, and put your ring on that whenever you take it off. If you can’t put it in the ring holder right away, don’t take it off.

I never take mine off, and bring it to the jeweler’s twice a year for a cleaning!

That’s the nice part about wildly expensive diamond and gold jewelery–it’s pretty low matinence!

Lol, I just ordered 4 extra ring boxes from Amazon. I will put one in every room where I am likely to take it off. My rule will be, if it leaves my finger, it goes straight into the box. No exceptions. Hoping to get it within 6 weeks!

I found this super pretty ring holder at salvation army for a dollar!

BUY ONE! Seriously the best thing ever. Mine lives on my nightstand and I take it off at night and when I shower! I also am lucky enough to have an ultrasonic at work so I can clean my ring the same way that jewlers will for free! But if I’m not at work a tooth brush and windex with water works great too!

I lose things pretty easily so I never take mine off unless I am going to do something incredibly dirty or rough.I get it cleaned professionally every 2 months, and I clean it myself weekly with baking soda, water, and then make it shine with a glass cleaner mixture. On those rare occasions I take it off, it goes in my ring holder and nowhere else

I am very careful with my ring.  Afterall, it is the most expensive peice of jewelry I own.  That being said, I don’t prep meals, work out, shower, or sleep with my rings.

I have a warranty, insurance, and a ring holder. Outside of that I don’t do anything. I rarely clean it (outside of rubbing it on my shirt when it’s grungy) and I don’t necessarily take it off for cleaning or cooking.

I take mine off to shower, clean, dishes, work out, cook…anything that will make it grimy.  I do like to wear it to sleep though.  Once or twice a week I soak it in water with a little dish detergent and give it a gentle scrub with a soft baby toothbrush.

My jeweler gives me a cleaner to soak it in every night. I’m pretty sure it’s just Connoisseurs, which you can get at Wal-Mart or Target, but he replaces it for free every two or three months. I put in in every night, and I’ll put it back on in the morning after I shower and put on my makeup and lotion. You can definitely tell a difference! He told me he would be able to tell, but I thought he was exaggerating- he wasn’t! I also take it in to get cleaned and inspected every six months.
