The title basically speaks for itself.
I have always had a hard time making female friends. I do not have any childhood friends in my life and I was not part of a sorority in college so I don’t have those girlfriends either. My job is somewhat isolating so I can’t really make any connections at work. My family is large but no one really speaks with each other except at family events.
I have tried Meetup but found that a lot of the people are flaky and don’t show up to events even though they have RSVP’d.
Has anyone tried girlfriend social or any other website to meet friends?

Have you tried Bumble BFF? While I did experience some flakiness and came across a few potential friends that didn’t work out, I did meet one over a year ago and we have become good friends.

Hi, I am a portuguese and I came to live in Germany five years ago. This is when I noticed how crappy I am at making friendships.
At some point I started using meetup as well. My experience with meetup and similar sites, is that you will meet a lot of people where there is no connection, people you don’t need to meet again, people who just want to flirt. but then ocasionally, you do meet a person that is really interesting, nice and worth meeting again. 🙂 so I wouldn’t suggest you to give up quickly
another important thing I learned, is that just like in romantic relationships, friendships also take some work: you have to be proactive in keeping them. And of course that effort has to come from both sides.
I ended up meeting my FH via Internations, an expat community.
