Hi Bees! Some of you have seen my e-ring, but I thought I’d post this because I see lots of posts asking about how to match a wedding band to an unusual vintage e-ring. Fiance picked the e-ring (it’s exactly what I wanted) and I found the wedding band at a totally different estate jewelry store. They are both vintage, estimated between 1940s-1950s. The total cost of my set was around $800, so this is also a good post for bees who don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on jewelry.
I think when you have a vintage e-ring you have to just try lots of different styles. I always thought I’d go with an eternity band, but they looked terrible and mismatched. I also tried a plain white gold band, which looked odd. When I tried this ring on I knew it just “fit”. The e-ring is 18k white gold, the wedding band is 14k white gold. the total carat weight for my engagement ring is .4, the carat weight for my wedding band is around .25 carats. I seriously can’t stop staring at them- I want to wear them as a set now! So ladies, I am proof that you and your SO don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to get a beautiful engagement and wedding ring.
