The store you bought the dress from should be willing to have you bring in your dress and try on sashes. Or maybe they still have the sample dress you could try sashes on. FYI i feel like some bridal salons overcharge for anything once they call it “bridal”.  Once you get an idea of what you like, look online and you might find a great deal on the same thing. I love etsy.com but it can be pricey, too. Good luck!

@Leggy:  Agreed…completely. I would get an idea of what looks good and go from there and do your own research online. I looked EVERYWHERE for my sash but couldnt find it and it had everything I wanted. So I ended paying SO much more than I wanted to on a sash.

Could you call a different bridal salon that carries your dress and explain to them what you are trying to do? Obviously, lead them to believe that you will buy the sash from them lol. But if you could find a store that has a sample of your dress, tell them that you are trying to figure out which sash would work best with it as you already have it at home.. or maybe they will ask you to bring in your own dress. Also, you could look online for people who whore your dress and see what they paired it with.. and if any of those options jump out at you 🙂

What is the name of your dress? Post a pic if you can or let us know the style so we can see what it looks like. Then, we’ll be able to give you some ideas!

Since PoB is closed, it might be hard to try on sashes with your dress in a bridal store. Plus, they overcharge anyway. It might be best to buy one online from a place that has a good return/exchange policy. Or, you could find a seller on Etsy who’s willing to let you exchange sashes until you find one you like.

I would either do something jeweled as a sash if you REALLY wanted to…but not a necklace. Either Earrings or a nice flat jeweled head piece/hair band

@morkiemama:  I like the tone-on-tone idea or the horsehair sash! By the way, your dress is beautiful! If you do a tone-on-tone sash, you could still do a statement necklace.
