Did you already line someone up?  When I interviewed several vendors at the same time, I just sent an e-mail to those not selected thanking them for their time and explaining that we’ve made our decision and will be going with another vendor.

is this someone you interviewed? An email works well for any vendor-

“Thank you for your time on DATE, it was a pleasure meeting you. We have decided to go with another officiant for our ceremony. Again, thank you for your time.

Bride”
