Just curious (out of fun), if my SO and I were to combine last names…the least awkward one I could think of is Turrew. How would you prounounce this? Please vote in poll. Also, if you have another combination that sounds better, please comment! Last names are Crews and Turner.

I have to say Turrew is really awkward to read. I’d pronounce it Turr-eww. Have you considered hyphenating them together. I think they’re both short enough that it would have a good ring to it “Baby boy Turner-Crews” or “Crews-Turner” is much friendlier.

yeah, i first though turr-ew

Looks like “TUHR-rew” to me.
You could also combine them to Crener.

Agree with PP, Ter-Rew. Could you not just jumble the letters up and come up with a new last name? Not having it stay in the correct order of how your last names are?

How about Crewner? It’d be cute (but maybe too cute) if one of you had a lovely singing voice.

Tur-rue is what I read it as. I’d also recommend Crews-Turner, sounds awesome, Although if you did want to change your last name to the same thing why notjust spell it like “True” thats an awesome name to have!

I was actually thinking of hyphenating and using Crews-Turner, it just seems very long to have to write every time I sign my name. I hadn’t thought of True, which is very cute!
As for mixing up the letters for a whole new name…trust me, I’ve been trying, and nothing is coming out right. Hah!

Mr. & Mrs. True would be fabulous. Have you guys decided anything yet?

@jara: I thought Crewner too!

I would say Tur-rew (2 R’s)
Ours combined would probably be something like….Hubbey which is weird.
