thefootballplayer:  OMG I just came up with an awesome idea and it will be low key and help her shy-ness. The night before, when she’s sleeping or after she has already taken her star photos, take 4 separate pictures of pieces of paper where  you handwrote:

Then in the morning when she wakes up to take pictures of the sunrise, she will hopefully turn on the camera to find them and scroll through each one. Be ready and waiting behind her for when she figures it out and have the ring out ready to give it to her!!!

You say she likes books. Take the book she is reading and do this to it. Hand write on the page in black marker Will You Marry Me.  Be sure to buy her another book.. lol

Get a photo of a special moment that the two of you have together and paste it in the bottom on the pages (round hole)

Have her a coffee ready when she comes in from taking her morning photo’s. Hand her the coffee and her book. Tell her to relax and read a little, while you play with your children. Tell your children your plan, they’ll love to watch it all unfold.

I think you should get up to take pictures with her one morning and after taking a few pictures tell her that you took a really good one and that she should come over to you to see it on your camera. Have a picture of the ring already on your camera (I’m guessing you’re using digital so it has a screen on the back?). Once she’s walked over to you, turn the back of the camera to her so that the screen with the picture of the ring on it is facing her and get down on your knee and ask her to marry you! Have the actual ring in your pocket to pull out to give to her when she says yes. Simple and in her element. I think it would be really special.

I am cringey at big public proposals so I know how your girlfriend feels!  Good for some, but would have been humiliating to me.  My fiance proposed to me sitting on a bench outside, it was near the water and very pretty.  He spoke quietly enough for just me to hear and didn’t get down on one knee. He judged it perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier…sometimes just a heartfelt one on one conversation about getting married is all you need for a proposal 🙂

Edit: Ahhh you already did it! Congrats!!!
