I’m confused – the dimensions you give are for an oval or rectangle – but this looks round. Is it time for me to get my eyes checked?

Ukulele4You :  oh okay b/c I was slightly confused by the dimensions, also. Whoa! That’s huge! Its beautiful and I wouldn’t want to detract away from the stone itself so I’m thinking keep the plain white band and perhaps a tulip/petal shaped basket. Period.

I fell in love with black diamonds after seeing some Anna Sheffield rings in person. They are absolutely gorgeous. If it were my pretty black diamond, I would reach out to her to see if she does settings. In the least, its good for inspiration for something custom at a jeweler more local to you. Good luck!

How about a simple halo with rose gold? I love the shape this one creates and the warm metal works well with the black.

glitterysala :  that’s really lovely.

Im not generally a halo fan but a friend has a large black diamond in a halo with I think it’s called a double shank pave band. It’s very old fashioned Hollywood look to it and it really makes the black shine
