I am having a sit down dinner and we need to know what entree each guest chooses, because the escort cards will say the person’s name and be color coded so the servers know what entree the person is supposed to be getting.
How do you word it so you know “Mr. Smith” is getting fish and “Mrs. Smith” is getting filet mignon?
It’s a very formal wedding, so we want formal wording, but are at a loss on how to pull this off so we know what entree each person wants. Is there some formal way to say something about initialing by the entree selection?
Thanks for any help!!!!!!!

This is how I would word the RSVP cards:
The favor of a reply is requested by ___________
Will Attend ________ Regretfully Declines _______
Please Initial Entree Selection:
_____Chicken ______ Beef ______ Vegetarian
If people don’t put their initials down, I wouldn’t freak out. Just guess that Mr. Smith wants steak and Mrs. Smith wants chicken. They can quickly sort it out with the waiter of swap plates.
You will also want to talk to your venue about how they would like for you to label your seating cards. A lot of places want a certain color sticker on the seating cards to indicate which entree people are receiving.
