I am in the process of customizing our STD’s and invites and a thought occured to me that I’m not sure how to address. A little background info first: Fiance and I live in a small Idaho town, near many other small towns. We are getting married about 30 miles North of where we live, in another “town” called Naples that’s more of a field and a mailbox than a town. This is only because we fell in LOVE with a rustic venue out there. About 25 miles North of Naples is another town with hotels and restaurants, etc. So basically, the venue is smack-dab between the two; my hometown and Town #2. However, we would prefer guests book hotels in our hometown, where there are also shops, a lake, tourist-y things, etc. We figured it would be easiest for everyone to book hotels in the same area, rather than have different guest parties be separated by 50+ miles during their stay.
My question is where can we specify for guests to stay in my hometown, rather than Town #2? I don’t know if I should put it on the invitation or the reception card. My Mother suggested I make another small card with a map that says “Hotels/lodges available in (my hometown)”, but I don’t know how I feel about having so much stationary. I thought it would be easier to put on one of the cards, but which one?
