I would recommend going dress shopping and trying on all the different styles of dresses to see what fits you best first… then maybe find a dress you like and if it’s not in your budget go ahead and contact Jasmine’s.

@g_g_dgjb:  I understand that, but sometimes you can get something for $1000 or less or ask for a sample and get a discount.  There are designers who have dresses for around $1000 – check Alfred Angelo.  I think Allure and Maggie Sottero are in the $1000-1500 range so perhaps a sample from those brands would be good.  Check David’s Bridal.

I did have a similar question recently that I posted and some brides said that they would just go and try on dresses to see what fit them best and then would find the one they wanted online and asked Jasmine’s for that.  Other brides said they’d go in and say they didn’t have a budget, yet and just tried on anything until they fell in love with something and then ordered that.

@g_g_dgjb:  jasmine’s and china dresses are replicas. they aren’t the actual designer dresses.

go try on the actual dresses, and see what you like. then contact jasmine’s or another china company.

@g_g_dgjb:  Right, but you need to go try on dresses in person to figure out which silhouette looks best on you. Even better if you try on dresses that you like from Jasmine’s to make sure that they look good on you.

@g_g_dgjb:  i was just making sure. a lot of people come on here and are shocked that the dresses on china sites aren’t the actual dresses.

and well, if you’re set on jasmine’s, you should be aware that they aren’t taking on new customers right now. you have loads of time until your wedding, so that shouldn’t be an issue. i’d still go to a dress shop and try on some dresses, just to get a feel of how things fit. then, you have to have your measurements taken (jasmine’s should have a list of measurements they will need). then you send off your measurements and the dress design you want, and wait. i didn’t purchase from them, but i was going to before i found my dress as a sample.
