Not sure if this is a look you’d be into, but someone recently posted a thread about brides wearing blazers over their dress.  I think it’s a great look, and creates a really cool contrast with the dress, but it’s definitely not for everyone.

You might be surprised at how warm those lace shawls and shrugs can be!  I’m a knitter/crocheter and love working lace but I find the warmth of it depends on what it’s made of and the weight of the yarn it’s made from.  The nice part about shrugs/boleros/cardigans is that you don’t have to hold them or adjust them much while you wear them.

A cardigan can look great and could keep you warmer as it would cover more of you but if you’re looking for something along the lines of knit or crochet, I recommend finding one made with a wool blend if possible.
