Hey Everyone! I was wondering if anybody had any cute ideas about what to wear for a chilly wedding night. I was thinking of wearing a cardigan over my dress after the ceremony, but I’m not sure if that’s acceptable. I’m not a real big fan of shawls and shrugs are nice, but they all seem to be lace and I feell iek that wouldn’t add much warmth. My dress is ivory organza with white lace on the sides. I’d love to hear ideas or see pictures. Thanks!

Not sure if this is a look you’d be into, but someone recently posted a thread about brides wearing blazers over their dress. I think it’s a great look, and creates a really cool contrast with the dress, but it’s definitely not for everyone.

You might be surprised at how warm those lace shawls and shrugs can be! I’m a knitter/crocheter and love working lace but I find the warmth of it depends on what it’s made of and the weight of the yarn it’s made from. The nice part about shrugs/boleros/cardigans is that you don’t have to hold them or adjust them much while you wear them.
A cardigan can look great and could keep you warmer as it would cover more of you but if you’re looking for something along the lines of knit or crochet, I recommend finding one made with a wool blend if possible.
