You can use vellum tape, it’s designed so that you can’t see it through it. It’s a bit spendy last time I check, but that was a few years back.

You might want to consider a ribbon or brad to adhear it. Unfortuantly you will see anything through vellum.

Maybe another gal has a better option 🙂 Sorry I’m not of too much help.

Glue Dots makes a special dot for vellum.  I’m not sure where you live, but I bought mine from Michaels.

What I did was use spray adhesive that I bought at Michaels.  It worked really well.

Vellum Spray adhesive!  I highly recommend it. I use it for scrapbooking. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. Glue Dots, "disappearing" vellum tape, everything, and still you’ll see a little circle of glue or the square of the tape. It’s very frustrating. Until a friend showed me the Vellum Spray Adhesive. She told me it would "Dissapear" and I told her "I don’t believe you" lol… but it does!  I bought a can of it and use it all the time now. My only recommendation is before you spray it onto whatever you want to glue down, spray it first into a trash can. Otherwise you get a big gloppy spray and not a fine mist. (my first mistake!) but it works great and you don’t see a thing. And once it’s down, it won’t move and you can’t adjust it. So be sure it’s where and how you want it.
