Pin it to cardboard and spray it with starch.  Not the spritz bottle, the aerosol style spray bottle.  Niagara makes a good one: http://www.amazon.com/Niagara-Professional-Finish-Original-Starch/dp/B003NWQJM0/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1366910717&sr=8-9&keywords=niagra+starch.  I’d use the regular if they’re super thin doilies, the heavy starch may block up some of the tiny holes and you’ll lose the detail.

The suggestions for using water & glue are for crocheted doilies, and it works very well for those!
