The easiest way to stop candy snacking is to not have it around you! Why not try some sugarfree ones if they exist? If you have a sugar craving why not try some diabetic chocolate or truvia on some grapefruit!

I have been craving chocolate and Fi found these chewy bars with peaunut butter dipped in chocolate…. He bought me 2 boxes There so yummy but One is about half of the calories i had for lunch!

The best thing i can think to do is find a low fat low calorie version and dont completly deprive yourself… (i have been giving my self a cheat system) If i go 3 days with out any chocolate i get a candy bar…. Its been working so far…

I find popping a piece of gum works, or sipping on some diet pop….you still get that sugary feeling….

I was going to say grapefruit.  Put honey on it.  I am a SUGAR attack-head big time!  I also make rules- like I can have ____ every day, but only once a day.  Beyond that, I eat a grapefruit with honey.  It is so good!  Plus, I also make tea sometimes- green tea or a calming herb tea (depending on the time of day).  Often I find a pick-me-up from tea works- because a pick me up was all I was really craving.  OR I eat food.

Sounds obvious, but often I would crave sugar and eventually I realized I was just hungry.  Also, sometimes I will make a smoothie, or healthy jam on toast.  Or peanut butter on toast with banana on top.

@sugarcube: I used to have the same problem with candy cravings!! However, for the past year I’ve been on the Men’s Health personal trainer diet (for my fiance) I eat what he eats for support. Its all home-made meals, tons of fruits and vegs and I no longer have sugar cravings!!! I think it would help you if whenever you get an urge to eat candy to pop in a piece of sugar free gum.

I have a horrible sweet tooth too. And i can’t have just one.  So, what i do – hide the candy in the back of a cabinet.  Out of sigh…out of a mind.

I’ve also become ADDICTED to Extra Expressions gum – they have all these sugary candy flavors, and at only 5 calories a stick of gum – soo much better than gummie bears (yum!!!!)

Green tea, and brushing my teeth after eating also helps.

@sugarcube: I used to eat Good & Plenty’s, Swedish fish and Haagen Daz ice cream as meals! Its horrible and I know what you are going through, lol but there is hope! My co-workers think I’m crazy because i can honestly sit at my desk and ignore all office candy, donuts, cake etc.. simply because I no longer crave it. Its been a solid year since I’ve had a craving for candy! Its great once you get past that battle.

Chew a piece of gum, drink a huge glass of water and then brush your teeth. If craving is still there, find something to do, like go for a walk.

I am right there with you.  I would like to lose about 10 pounds before summer and I know the half eaten bag of gummy bears in my purse is not going to help me achieve my goal.  I’ve started packing lunches so I’m not tempted to pick up anything sugary when I get lunch, but I had to go to the gas station today and the gummy bears were to hard for me to resist.
