There’s really nothing you can do to completely stop the worrying! I worried every second of every day during early pregnancy, but definitely calmed down some after my 8 week u/s where we saw the heartbeat and knew there actually was a baby in there. I still worry about so many things and I’m 3 weeks away from my due date and all signs have been pointing to a healthy baby.
I do recommend staying away from googling miscarriage and statistics – remember that a lot of what you read on the internet are the horror stories. Eat well, treat yourself well, and try to be grateful every day that you are pregnant. Those are the things that got me through it.
Definitely normal. I have a now almost 2 year old daughter and I was checking for blood at 8 months lol you’ll always be this crazy lol relax.
I just wanted to pop in and say how reading these comments was helpful for me just now. I miscarried at 8 weeks back in April. I’m 6weeks pregnant right now and I too worry every single moment of every day. I don’t see the doctor until 2 weeks from now and it can’t come soon enough. Everyone is right though, worrying isn’t going to change anything. I’m going to try and assume the best of this pregnancy. I hope you can too, good luck!
For me it helped I talk about my fears with people I was close with. I remember explaining to my 13 year old niece and that; yes I have a baby inside me, he’s the size of a grape right now! We aren’t telling that many people yet because sometimes pregnancies end suddenly and it’s very common and can be very sad but all you can do if it happens is try again.
explaining this outloud to someone was a reminder to myself that I can’t control the universe and I need to stop worrying so much! 🙂
