I had a makeup trial a couple of weeks ago – the artist gave me a good deal on the trial (obviously in hopes that I would book her). She was soo nice and accomodating and she did eveything I asked her to (or rather, tried her best to do so).
Unfortunately I hated the way she did my makeup. Even after I asked her to fix certain things, it still didn’t look good. She was very pateint and I feel like she did her best.
So after the trial she called to see if I wanted to book her – I told her I would contact her if I decided to book. She sent me a follow up email and I responded to politely let her know I was going a different route. She just emailed me back asking what I didn’t like about the makeup, and offered to do another trial to “try out a different style”.
It’s just that I don’t think she’s a very good makeup artist. I feel bad because she has been so nice. I’m not necessarily looking for advice, just wanting to discussthese types of awkward situations. What should I tell her? Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
