I think a nice gift basket would be a wonderful way of thanking her! To make it more special, you could include a card and write a message in it telling her how much help she’s been and naming some of the things she did that were so great.

My dear friends just closed on a house. Their real estate agent worked HARD for them, definitely got them the perfect house and negotiated big time for them. They got her a spa day as a thank you, which I thought was so nice!

@KatyElle: Wow, that’s a generous gift! It’s a bit risky though, and kind of depends on how well they know the person. I personally would hate such a gift.

OP: To add to my earlier post, I understand that you don’t think a gift basket is enough. What I was saying was that the card would be more important to me than any gift if it was a personal thank you message.

I would send her a thank-you card and place an ad in the local newspaper. The best advertsing is praise from a  client.

@Lemma: Ok, but we’re just throwing out ideas here. It cost them under $100 with Groupon or Living Social, not much more than a nice gift basket 🙂

A good public review is also a great idea!

@KatyElle: I think it’s a great idea. I hope you didn’t think I was criticizing it! I would guess that most people would love such a gift and you could probably tell the ones that wouldn’t by how unkempt we look!

I love the idea of putting something in the newspaper , and perhaps a mani/pedi instead of a full spa day so it doesnt break the bank .
