Hi!
I’m figuring out my wedding budget and want to make sure I include gratuities. (The venue is a not for profit, so no sales tax.)
My venue costs $7000, but there is an additional “staffing fee” of $1000 for security & the venue’s event coordinator (she’ll be our point of contact all that night).
Assuming she does a stellar job, do I tip the venue/venue coordinator on the venue cost ($7000) or the staffing fee ($1000)?
Thank you!

I would give her 150 if she did a stellar job.

I didn’t know we were supposed to tip the venue.
My usual rule of thumb for tipping though is 10%.

I don’t know. I have another venue tipping question too if any bees have advice.
I am getting married at a full service NJ wedding venue ($150 per person cost, includes everything). That $150 includes a 22% service charge which tips all servers. However, the day of coordinator and matire’d need to get tipped. The venue recommended $4-$5 tip per person coming to the wedding. We are having 80 people. That is a $350-$400 tip, on top of the 22% service charge we are giving the venue (which amounts to $2000).
This is just more than I budgeted for. I hoped to give a $200 tip. Does anyone have any thoughts if I am being unfair?
