Okay so we planned a summer engagement shoot, but we kept putting it off, now We’re doing it november 10th, and im afraid its going to be wayy to cold for what I had planned to wear :
Would it look really weird if i wore tights? ;/ maybe a scarf?
Ugh if this doesnt work, give me some ideas of a different outfit, I dont know what I want if i cant wear this!
I love retro-ish style clothes, Iwant something kind of girly/feminine. but nothing too fancy/ I would love to wear some type of dress, but maybe change into jeans or something too? We are having are pictures taken at an awesome museum with a ferris wheel on the roof 🙂

Its hard to see the exact color of the dress but how about a complimentary colored cardigan

@ThreeMeers: its a dark blue with a lacy type overlay, it is polka dotted. I have the white cardi I planned on wearing, I might freeze tho. Maybe I should just tough up and wear it for the sake of good pictures though 😛

I think that would look adorable with a yellow peacoat and some sweater tights. Maybe a hat?
You could always take a few pics in settings where you cant tell what season it is, wearing just what you had planned for summertime. You will have to suffer for a few minutes, but it won’t be the end of the world as long as you have some hot cocoa and a big heavy coat waitig on you for afterwards. Swimsuit models do it all the time.

@EffieTrinket: Ooooh thank you!! awesome Idea, I think a colored peacoat would look amazing!!

I agree, I’d not use the white cardigan. I love the sweater tights and peacoat idea.

Have you thought of boots instead of heels? you could even wear a pair of heeled boots. They are very fall in season and would look great with the right colored cardigan.

@alyssars1: How long are you going to be outside?
I think you can get away with it unless there’s already snow on the ground where you live. Where I live we’ve had a blizzard already. Ugh. So it would look weird if I wore your outfit at this point in the year.
I think you could definitely warm it up a bit by wearing tights, though… definitely. And a cute scarf.
I would suggest wearing something you’re comfortable in. Unless you’ve had lots of photo sessions, e-photos are awkward enough, and if you’re not feeling comfortable/sexy then they won’t turn out as well.

I LOVE your outfit!!!! Where is the dress/cardi from?
I would personally try and wear it anyways….. but
I agree, throw on a coloured peacoat and some tights!

Tights would look super cute! That dress is fabulous.

@mrshollinger:I got the dress from macys, Im actually going to wear flats with it… I snapped this picture before I went to a wedding last month 😉 My Fiance is the same height as me and I dont want to be taller then him in the pictures 😛
What color tights would go good with it? Im thinking either a red or yellow pea coat.
Eek! thank you guys for your help, im getting excited, would have never thought of adding a coat for pictures, but a colored one would look so cute!! 🙂

It started snowing the day we did our engagement photos.
My first outfit was featuring this suuuper cute jacket I got at Guess. It works great for winter Save the Dates. I had a second outfit that included a skirt, high heels and a thin top. It was freezing cold but we made it work by bringing a big fluffy blanket with us to cover up with between shots and locations.
