My Future Mother-In-Law gave me a strand of pearls for my wedding. I was so surprised I thanked her and accepted and was very happy! But I realized that I never wore pearls and my dress is very sparkly and I’m not sure it will look good. I have to wear it, right? I tried looking for a diamond enhancer per another thread, but I had no luck. Please help, thanks. If you have a link to an enhancer that would be great. Also I don’t own pearl earrings!

Do you have pictures of the dress?

Can you kindly explain to your mother-in-law that the pearls don’t go with your wedding dress? If she gave them to you prior to buying your dress, then you’re certainly golden, but even if not, if you explain the situation and your wedding vision to her, hopefully she’ll be understanding. You could also wear them for another special occasion, like the rehearsal dinner. That may be a way to honor her generous gift to you without clashing with your wedding attire.

I agree with T.R.Bride. I think it would be appropriate to wear to the rehearsal dinner. Otherwise, continue your search for a pendant or brooch that you could wear with the pearls. Best of Luck!
Google “crystal brooch”…a TON come up!

I tried to link a pic of my dress but it got picked up as possible spam so the post didn’t show up. Private Label by G 1311

Pearls and diamonds are gorgeous together. Find a diamond brooch, and clip it to the necklace to tie them together. The brooch doesn’t need to be real diamonds – stores like Claires or JC Penneys have gorgeous brooches that would look perfect!

-wear to rehearsal dinner
-add enhancer to wear as necklace
-wrap around your wrist as a bracelet

I think you could wear it with your dress especially if you added an enhancer of sorts to it 🙂
