I’ve started to make some crepe paper pomanders, and the paper is stark white. My dress is an ivory color, so i’m wondering if any of you DIY Crafty bees know of a way to ‘yellow’ or age my crepe paper flowers?

I would try misting them with spray paint, or, use an off white crepe paper to start with.

burn the edges? or dye them with tea? (I know the tea thing works with cloth… not sure how crepe paper would hold up to getting wet like that, though..)

@babybluz:I know this post is kind of old, but I was wondering if you ended up trying to spray paint them?? and if sol..how did they turn out??
I’m debating on spray painting mine to make them match my blue and purple theme!

@linz09: I left them white afterall…. I was too afraid of ruining them to do anything!

@babybluz: Aww, I think tea would have worked, maybe even leaving them in the sun.. 🙁

You just paint the tea on with a brush. For anyone looking to do this in the future.

I would suggest putting some watered down tea in a fine mist spray bottle and misting from several inches away, it to give it an aged look.
