I’m technically not a Maggie bride yet, but I bought three colored wedding gowns from them for my junior and senior prom and one for my senior winter formal (the one I will be getting married in!) and like someone else mentioned I’m a 0-2 in street clothes and le my gowns were 4’s with corset backs and they fit me PERFECT! So if it was a size or two too small from your street clothes size I think you’ll be fine 🙂

My measurements when ordering the dress were: Bust 32, Waist 24 and Hips 34. I hope that helps!

I wanted to leave my comment here in case any brides are looking up this question too.
I’ve recently received my Maggie Sottero dress. My dress is the Melanie. When I bought the dress I tried on a size 8 and it fit perfectly…like a glove. However, when they ordered it for me the salon said they don’t order by the sample dress size (since they tend to stretch) but by my measurements. After they measured me I ended up being a size 10 (Bust 37.5 Weist 30.5 and hips 42 inches) According to the Maggie Sottero size chart size 10 is Bust 37.50 Weist 29.50 and hips 40). I did loose about 6 pounds and my measurements at the moment are Bust 37 weist 30 and hips 40. So according to the chart It should still fit me perfectly.
Anyway, went to my first fitting last week and the dress is huge on me. It’s going to need alterations everywhere. It is at least 2 inches more than what the chart says around the hips and at least 1-1.5 inches more around the bust and weist.
My advise is for brides. If the sample dress fits like a glove don’t let the salon make you order a size up! How much can a dress actually strech?

Thank you for this post! I ordered a dress on Ebay as well in a 10 and started stressing about my hips! I have a fit pear shape and am hoping it will fit my hips and can take in as needed!
