@OnceUponATime:  I think it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they’re made of sheepskin.

I’ve never been a fan of Uggs and don’t own any, but this would probably be a bummer if I wanted a pair. :/

I won’t say that I think using sheepskin to make clothing items is wrong- I own leather goods so that would be a bit hypocritical. But I think the way that these animals are treated and slaughtered should be as humane as possible. From what I saw in the article, that doesn’t seem to be the case here, which is really unfortunate.

@OnceUponATime:  I rather not read the article but I know of the practice and it honestly sickens me how animals are mistreated. I don’t wear any real leather I try to be as conscious as I can when it comes to buying clothing and stuff in general. I don’t think it’s ok either 🙁

Thanks for sharing. 🙁 Will never buy Uggs. I really need to read up on what I should/shouldnt be buying. I do have a pair of leather boots and a few coach purses I was given…I’m not going to throw them away…but I’m not going to buy more either.

I try to be aware of what I am buying before I buy it. I didn’t watch the video as I am the definition of animal lover and saver over here Innocent Animals are little angels to me.

I don’t care about Uggs, but I love real, buttery-soft leather purses. Shoot me.

I love my Uggs. I find it hard to believe that it’s not common knowledge they’re made with sheepskin (even some of the knockoffs)

@OnceUponATime:  Luckily it’s not  a problem for me as I think they re the “Ugg-liest” boots I have ever seen and would never consider wearing a pair.

@itsmeetam:  I think most people know what uggs are made of but don’t necessarily know how exactly it’s acquired. that’s a huge difference.

I don’t like the slipper looking ones but I was JUST looking at some of their leather (?) Ones. Are they made the same way? (I didn’t click on link )
