I’ve heard constantly people complaining, at least online, that certain songs are not appropriate at all for weddings. But in my personal experience at weddings and related events where dancing takes place, the wedding-appropriate songs tend to clear the dance floor except for the first dance obviously while the non-wedding-appropriate music has all the dancers on the floor (while the non-dancers sit out no matter what). Has anyone else noticed this happening or does it depend on the social circles/families involved? What is your experience based on real life weddings?

i think songs about breakups are a little innapropriate, but only if the couple cares. My grandma told me she went to a wedding once and the band ran out of songs they knew how to play, and the only one they had left was “you don’t bring me flowers anymore” lol so it was the last song they played! How sad!

I definitely agree – all the songs that may be somewhat “inappropriate” for weddings are the ones I want to dance to!

I don’t think that anyone should be playing Two Live Crew at a wedding, but, aside from songs that are blatantly offensive or inappropriate for ceremonial dances, it’s all good.
