Oh, absolutely!!! I have second guessed everything I have done, especially because it is so budget. I worry what other people will say and if it will be elegant enough. I’ve said from day one of planning that I wish I had never watched a single episode of SYTTD or David Tutera’s show (although I adore him and want to carry him around in my pocket!)

I think these shows and magazines set up unrealistic expectations for women when they plan their wedding, I am no exception. They convince us that we “need” things for the wedding when in reality most of these crucial elements are fluff and unnecessary.

Do I regret falling into the trap that they laid out for me? Not one bit. However, my Darling Husband and I were able to afford all those “necessary” items that they convinced us we needed but not everyone is as lucky. I hate to see brides feel that their weddings are inferior because they weren’t able to have all the extras touted as crucial in the magazines and on the shows.

It is fun to dream and plan as long as you have the budget to back those lofty ideas. Otherwise you might find yourself disappointed.

Hahahahahaha. I watched mostly “Bridezillas” so I think, if anything, it helped me really keep a better, saner perspective on the whole thing. But I’m very laid-back in general.
