our dog will run right between your legs, tail in front, for you to scratch his booty. he loves it. if you’re still asleep and he’s awake, he will walk above your pillow and lie down so you have to move your head. he’s also completely nuts about the snow. like bat crazy. he also takes the last lap of water and carries (drools) it all the way to your lap.

my friend’s cat likes to get into plastic grocery bags and waits for you to pick him up!

@HayleyJane: How did you toilet train your kitty? I saw a kit at Target one time and laughed because I figured it would never work…is this something similar to what you used???

My dog has this weird bark breathing thing when she is pissed. She also walks down the hall stomping her feet when she is ,mad, sounds like Stewie. My friend had a bark translator that we put on her. When she did her heavy breathing bark thing it translated into &#$%@! So funny! So we know she is cussing us out when she is pissed. And I know she is stomping because if someone has food or something she wants she can sneak up stealth style and you don’t know she is there until you see her, kind of creay sometimes too!

@littlegraykitten: We used a kit we bought online called the Citikitty.  It was a sort of litterbox that fits on the toilet and under the seat.  We started out transitioning the litterbox to the bathroom, then next to the toilet, then adding boxes underneath until it was the same level as the toilet, then put the litterbox on the toilet for a few days before just using the Citikitty.  At that point, you can punch out a tiny hole in the middle of the Citikitty (there are concentric rings that punch out).  Over time, the litter gets less, the hole in the center gets bigger, and the cat learns to balance on the edge with all four feet.  It takes a lot of patience and can get very messy, but it’s soooo worth it not to have the smell of the litterbox in our tiny apartment or litter tracked all over the floor.  It took us about 2 months to train the cat from the time we got the training kit.  There is an extra set of rings in this particular set as well, so if you move too fast for the cat and need to go back, you can.  I’ve seen at least three different training kits that can be bought online (though you can make your own as well!), and the Citikitty is the mid-range product.  Believe me, I thought my cat would NEVER take to it, but my SO insisted we try, and I’m glad we did.

My cat has made me late for work, because he figured out how to hit the snooze on my alarm clock, when it goes off. I opened my eye one day to see him do it, and that answered a few questions.

This same cat would entertain himself by touching a touch lamp I had in my living room with his paw and turning it on and off-which wasn’t a big deal until a neighbor across the courtyard called the police because they thought I was in trouble and signalling SOS. I ended up giving the lamp away. After that, the cat would go up to the new lamp and bat it with his paw, then walk off in a huff when nothing happened.

my best friend has a persian fluff ball that LOVE LOVE LOVED mint – he would dump your purse out, sometimes of the table, rummage through everything looking for gum.  he would then demolish the entire package, pulling out all the gum and he would the proceed to LICK all the gum wrappers until there was no mintyness left in them.  it was hilarious!

he also loved shopping bags, if you left a pile of them after a grocery trip, he would burrow himself so deep in them that you were quite surprised when you picked up something that should weigh a couple ounces, and it would weigh 15 pounds (he was a rather large cat)

Oh yea, my girl cat used to suck on my ear lobe every night while I was sleeping! I think she was taken away from her mommy too early and never lost that sucking reflex. =( She still sleeps on my pillow most nights and tries to suck on my ear sometimes too! LOL! It’s weird that she used to do that but I think we have a special bond because of that! She’s my baby!

My cat Charlie is obsessed with hair ties and bottle caps too!! He also plays fetch with balls! Like a dog!! When he was younger he used to grab one of his toys in his mouth and bring it to us to play with! He also eats everything! I think he’s half dog! He loves people! And I swear, his first instinct is to play with other cats, not fight with them. I’ve heard him hiss like 5 times in his whole life! He’s a very sweet cat, but he’s crazy! One day I heard him dragging something down the hallway and I thought it was this shoe lace that he always plays with but it was my bra!! He brought it in the living room and played with it! He’s done this twice! LOL! I have a girl cat too and she has her crazy moments too, but not like Charlie! Here he is with my bra.

My boxer Rory:

• Well, she eats anything and everything, including and ENTIRE PAN of brownies (without so much as a puke, that punk), my roommate’s bottle of weight-gain pills (40 pills, PLUS the plastic bottle), crackers, sour straws, and basically anything that remotely passes for edible food. Luckily she doesn’t chew wood up or walls or anything, or we’d be in real trouble!

• She lives to snuggle. As a puppy, she loved to lay over my neck and tuck her head under my chin. Now she’s all about my husband, and holds his arm with her paws, and snores into his ears. It’s so effin adorable.

• She is a total swimaholic. Like, a little torpedo! Someone told me Boxers normally hate water, and she takes to it like a little torpedo. When we visit my parents she jumps into the pool and swims laps for fun. It’s hilarious.

• She taught herself how to climb trees so she could better chase squirrels. Proof:

She also talks to me when she’s hungry, wants to go outside, or feels she’s not getting enough attention. She’s basically the love of my life, I never thought I’d be a dog person until I brought her home. She’s efifn’ awesome!

My cat licks plastic bags, and I  mean any plastic bags (grocery store, retail bags, packaging bags). he’s nuts. He also like to chew on boxes, the corners of them that is. Pick up a storage box in my house and all the corners are chewed up…weird huh?

My male dog, Achilles, is very very…simple-minded, if you will, but he LOVES me. He’s always making sure I am okay. He is always sitting right next to me. If I get up for water, he follows me. Achilles also thinks he has a human body lol He sits on his butt (like a person), and sleeps on his back. Sometimes he sleeps on his side and under a blanket. This is him on his first day home and when I first discovered his funny actions:
