    My dress was strapless and with alterations it fit better than any strapless dress I’ve yet owned.  I didn’t have to move it or pull it up once all night even with some crazy dancing.  I think having a good fit for me was about how well it fit around the waist and less about how tightly it fit at my chest (which would’ve caused it to look like I had some back fat, which I didn’t).

    Corset back and it was just fine. No sliding or tugging all day/night.

    The main thing for me was to make sure my breasts did not spill out (I am a 32DD). The cups the seamstress sewed in originally just did not work as they pushed me up and out too much making the dress slip down. I ripped them out and went with a longline and had no issues after that. It also ended up looking better with longline under instead of cups. 

    With the right alterations and a proper fit the dress should not slip.
