The channel set band of my ering is 3mm wide and Im going for a plain white gold wedding band. Should both rings be the same width?
If anyone has pics of their set I’d love to see them (please tell me the widths of your rings also).
Thanks for your help!!

They don’t have to be the same width, as long as they look good! I think my e-ring band is about 2.5 and my wedding band is 2.75, which was necessary because the wedding band has a “chunk” missing so it can fit around the setting.

Visually, there’s not much of a difference at all.

You should probably try your e-ring on with a few different widths of plain bands to see what you like! The band can be the same width but it doesn’t have to be. I think 2, 3, or 4 mm would all be ok. Here is my set. My e-ring is 3mm wide and my wedding band is 2mm.

Depends completely on how it looks on your hand.
My e-ring is 3.5 at its widest and 2 at its narrowest point. I started with 3.5mm but it looked wrong so I had it shaved down. I would not have gone all the way to 2MM because it would look really wrong on my larger fingers if worn alone.
My recommendation (if you’re getting it done from a jeweler) is that you start with the larger size and have them shave it down until you’re satisfied.

Yeah I would also suggest trying some things on like PPs have suggested. It really depends on your preferences and how it looks next to your e-ring. I originally wanted a 2mm wide eternity band to go with my e-ring, which is 2mm wide, but when I tried on some bands I liked very thin and delicate styles better.

@CorgiTales: aww I honestly love your set. I think it´s the first time I see an e-ring with a setting of that style… looks gorgeous, and the w-band really match it beautifully..

I would say atleast a 3mm….
try on a few different sizes with your e ring AND without!
I got a 2mm b/c my e ring is a 2mm.. it looks great together but I’m sure at some point I’m not going to feel the need to wear my bling all the time and I don’t like my band by itself… 2mm is just to small and it looks kinda weird.
Just think about it and when you try some on try them with and without your e ring
heres a pic of my set..

My plain band is 3mm. I was really tempted to get 4mm, but it looked too big with the engagement ring. However, 2.5 or 2mm really looks too small when worn alone, and I wanted to have options! 3 is a great compromise.

I really like how it looks when both bands are equal width and have an equal shape (like if both bands are curved, or both flat). I personally don’t like it when a wedding band is wider than the e-ring band, I think it takes away from it.

My wedding band is 4mm & I’m not 100% sure on my e-ring.

I personally prefer them the same width or wedding band ever so slightly thicker

I tried on loads of band to match my channel set e-ring (3mm) and ended up picking the same width. It just looks so nice when it coordinates!

My wedding band is 2mm, and my E ring is just slightly less than 2m
