How will a casino affect the value of my condo? Any thoughts? I own a condo about three miles from where a casino will be built. I do not live in the condo anymore. I have been renting it, but tenant just gave notice, so I can try to sell or rent it out again.
I have heard that casinos drag down the value of property around them. The condo is in a complex that probably would be the type of place where casino workers would live. Small condos, not so great neighborhood already. So it might be in high demand as a rental property.
Anyone’s feedback is welcome, but I would like to hear especially from the realtor bees, landlord bees, and bees who have lived near a casino.
Dump it now or hold onto it in the hopes that the market is turning around and the casino might even provide a boost? I am not underwater, but would be selling now for less than I bought it.
