No garter here at all.  Its been a long time since I went to a wedding where I saw that tradition actually.  I don’t think teeth is appropriate in front of older relatives and family friends. If it were only your friends it would be different I suppose.

Pretty much every wedding I have been to it has been taken off with teeth. I’m skipping the garter removal tradition. Doesn’t make much sense to me.

When I read the title of the thread I thought “with his teeth” lol. I don’t know if we are going to have a garter…I feel a little weird having him go up my skirt in front of my dad…it is weird enough to think that everyone will know we had sex that night after the wedding anyway lol. But if we do decide to have one, he will be taking it off with his hands!

I would love to skip the tradition all together, but Fiance wants to do it.  But he has been made well aware that I will not stand for an inappropriate “to do” such as using his teeth.  I would prefer if we could do something silly such as him pulling out funny objects such as rubber chickens and such to get laughs instead of something nasty to get groans.  Just my thought!

ummm yeah, I was horrified by the thought of him using his teeth (which is so odd that it’s “tradition”) so yeah, he used his hand without pulling my dress up too much 🙂

I don’t understand the point of skipping it all together. It is just a fun tradition that allows the guys to get involved. Mr. Shef will be using his hands… I don’t think he would feel comfortable using his teeth infront of everybody. Now, later that night is a whole different story!

He took it off with his hands.  The grandparents didn’t need to see his head up my dress as he uses his teeth!
