(Closed) How will you respond after waiting forever for his proposal?

    Yes! It's about time!

Start crying with relief and forget to say yes

Be dumbfounded and ask if he just said what you think he said and why it took so long!

No, you took too long! Then after seeing his discomfort say yes!

Start to laugh nervously and then say yes!

MissYSK:  no joke, I waited so long I said “thank you”. Not Yes.  i said thank you. Which in reality I was like thinking, thank you for FINALLY proposing lol. Now it’s part of our proposal story 😉

We had been together almost 12 years before he FINALLY proposed (we were both 15 when we started dating), but while I was super impatient and emotional, I never questioned his intentions and 100% got his reasons for waiting, so I never felt resentful or anything.

When he asked, I was so happy, overwhelmed and in awe with what he had come up with that I started bawling like a crazy person. I never thought I would be one to ugly cry, but what can you do…

I would probably be incredibly bubbly and happy, but I would probably try to joke about needing time to think about it. I don’t know, it depends on whether he does it when we are alone or in front of people… He knows I hate embarrassing and tense situations, so if it were in front of people I would probably say yes right away!

Hahaha after 8 years I thought I’d say something with more than one syllable like “of course” or “absolutely” – as it was I squeaked at him – sort of an extremely high pitched “yip!” And then launched myself into his arms! *shakes head* not even a full on “yes”….

My Husband asked me to marry him after 11 years together (high school sweethearts). Honestly looking back on it now I’m not sure how I didn’t see the proposal coming! He took me to our favourite holiday spot and as we were sitting on a bench overlooking Fraser Island (QLD, Aus) eating ham and cheese croissants and watching the sun go down he turned to me and said “after 11 years I think you should stop jerking me around”, the look on my face must have been priceless (My DH, ever the joker!) and I got defensive VERY quickly as said “ME jerking YOU around?!?!” after I said this he pulled the ring from his pocket and asked me to marry him.

Honestly as soon I saw the ring and comprehended exactly what he had said I burst into tears and I mean sobbing / laughing / happy king of cry. He had to actually pull my hands away from my face and ask me “is that a yes?!”. I never thought  I’d cry when he finally DID ask, but it really did come as a HUGE shock when the moment came and it was just this major rush of emotions.

I cry sooo easily so I already know I will be crying my eyes out. I probably will forget to answer him too.

I imagine I’ll cry because I cry when I see people get married/engaged on tv lolol. As for my words I imagine I’ll say something like “Yeah..” in like a duh tone, cause I’m awkward. 🙂 Whatever I do, I guarantee it will be awkward hahah
