So… I have a gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous hand-made flat mantill veil. It’s fingertip length. The width is wider than the length, so it has a bit of wave, or a very slight cascade, at the sides. It will be attached to my hair with bobby pins (there are tiny loops on the veil to hold the pins).
Now I’m pondering the veil position.
Some brides wear the mantilla right up close to the face. Some at the crown. Some just over the chignon/bun at back.
What are you doing? Or what do you like best?

Oh, PS: the hair shot above (model, no veil) is just my hairdo….

Yay for mantillas! I love them, and just got one! I plan to wear mine similar to the 3rd bride. Not so far back, but not up super high either, kind of somewhere in the middle. That’s where they put it on me at the bridal stores and I liked it a lot.

i like it in the middle or like this

I like how it is worn in the last photo you posted… A few inches from the crown 🙂
Up high looks kind of funny IMO. It overshadows the brides face!

I love mantilla veils! I purchased one from a fellow Bee! I was planning on wearing it like the 3rd bride. I tried it on near my face and my sister said I looked like I was getting my first communion (I guess you come full circle, huh?)
