I don’t have a middle name so I’m just taking FH’s surname and dropping my maiden name.

i want my family to have the same last name… so i will be taking my FIs last name.  I’m not a fan of hyphenating our names because honestly it looks and sounds ridiculous.

I am probably just tacking his name onto the end of my name and keeping my last name as a second middle. although i *might* drop my current middle bc my name will be kind of ridiculously long if i dont (10 syllables total haha).

In Quebec Canada, there is a law that we cannot change our last name. So unfortunately I will have to keep my last name…

My coworker had her husband take her maiden added as his middle. It works for them because his name is short- but I don’t like my last name and it’s really long as is so I can’t wait to switch!

I definitely want to dump my last name (which people always misspell) and take my FI’s last name (which is much easier).

I’m just changing my last name. I don’t feel too attached to my last name (yeah, I like it, but it’s not a “part of who I am” or anything, it’s just a name!), so I feel no need to keep it on, as a last or middle name. Besides, when I change my name my initials will be “JEN”, and my first name is “Jennifer”, so it’s just too cool. : D

I am going to have I am just going to and my bf’s name to the  end of mine. So I will have 2 last names with no hyphen.

Doing the maiden-as-middle thing. I wish I could just keep my middle, but it’s important to my parents. *le sigh*

I’m tacking my fiance’s last name onto mine – hyphenating and keepin’ everything 🙂 otherwise if I just took FI’s last name, my name would be a little obnoxiously sing-song-y.

I could never imagine changing my middle name, I was named after my dad, so I am just keeping my first, middle, and changing my last name to my Fiance’s last name.

I love, love, love my full name and I don’t want to get rid of any of my names.  So I’ll just have two middle names (middle and maiden).

I kept my middle name and added my maiden name as a second middle name. I only use all four on bank documents and my driver’s license, because lots of databases can’t accomadate two middle names. I wanted to keep my last name for my family history and I needed to keep my middle name because I go by first name, portion of middle name. Think name of famous cosmetics company.
