I don’t have an answer, but thought that if you have a photo for people to see, it would help getting you some responses!

I’m not wearing the Allure gown but mine is layered and ruffly. My bustle has three layers. I think the first two layers are traditional French, and the topmost layer is a butterfly that shares buttons with the previous layer.

Excuse all the background chatter, but this is a video of the seamstress demonstrating my bustle:

I have the Allure 8862 also and my dress is being bustled underneath so it looks like the train was taken right off the dress and it doesnt change the fullness of the dress 🙂

How did you end up bustling your dress?

I am wearing this dress for my New Year’s Eve wedding this year and I’m at the point where I have to choose a bustle. I’m leaning towards the french- it seems most brides have done the french with this dress and it works well.

My other option is a 3 point over bustle and that actually looks really nice on the dress, too…. the pinned up train creates a cascade of ruffles (like flowing down and outward from the top bustle point) that looks really  nice as well. It adds a bit of fullness to the back of the dress, but I might be okay with that… I’m sort of into the big poofy look 😛

Has anyone bustled this with the 3 point bustle? I’m interested to see if anyone has any tips or advice/warnings!
