Is your dress properly fastened in this pic?

The straps appear to be sliding off your shoulders.

What about cutting the sleeves off so it looks strapless and then adding lace cap sleeves?  I think the lace would help it look more feminine.

I would make the straps thinner by about half.. I would also try to wear it more off the shoulder so that the neck area is a little wider!

@lola blue:  How about a halter top?  For some reason when I looked at the picture, I thought a halter top would look really nice.  Plus, I’m someone who needs more support in that area and I tend to like the support that a halter top can provide.

Otherwise, I don’t think the straps look bad as they are if you decide to go with the dress.

What undergarments are you wearing with it?  That will really determine what you are able to do…

It’s hard to tell because the dress isn’t fit to you. Have you tried it with clips in the back and on the straps so that you can see it fit? Also, it would be helpful to see a wider shot of the dress to get a better feel for it.

Thanks for the explanation. When you have your seamstress let out the dress, also have her put a little strap under the shoulder seam with a snap fastener closure so you can secure your bra straps in place.

That’s really all you need to do. Without the bra straps showing, the neckline will look very nice.

Google La Sposa Siboney from the 2012 collection… I couldn’t upload the pic, but I think you could do something similar with your straps.
