Fertility friend gives me the options of dry, sticky, creamy, watery, and egg white. I have NEVER had eggwhite CM. I almost always either have sticky (like semi dried glue) or creamy (white but somewhat wet), and I’ve never had a ton of any kind of CM at any point either. I typically have to go in and find it lol.
Today it’s clear, thin, and has the tiniest hint of stickiness, but not like usual, but it’s not really ‘watery’ either.
What would you call that?
I’m on CD 12 and expect that I’ll ovulate in 2 days, if that makes any difference.

I may not be the best person to answer this as I feel my CM is often in-between two types.. but i wonder if it could be a transition between sticky and watery, or if it’s natural lubrication? Have you tried waiting 30 seconds to see if it dries up (implying it might just be natural lubrication)?
Curious to hear what others think as well!

I’d call it watery and expect to see it trending more to egg white in the next day or two. I don’t get a lot of egg white like photos show… if it’s sticky and clingy, but clear, I call it egg white, even if it doesn’t create those long strings like you see in photos.

I’m the same, i feel like mines is and Too Much Information on my finger, wet with some creamy parts ALL THE TIME. I don’t notice a change at all, it’s consistently like this between periods and I track ovulation! So I just always mark it as creamy and decided against using that to help spot ovulation or symptoms

I second this! Mine is usually like that. I feel like mine is somewhere between watery and ewcm. It’s clear, feels kinda lubey if I rub it between my fingers. It stretches a little but not like, full on one inch globs like in pictures on the internet. I always make it as ewcm.
When you say it has a bit of stickiness, do you mean like dried school glue? Or like lube that’s clinging to itself?

i find it’s helpful to think about CM in peak vs non peak, rather than each individual category. Peak is anything that feels lubricative, clear or stretchy.

Definitely more like clingy lube…

Awesome, I would probably count that as EWCM then! It’s normal for CM to not fit that textbook description you read about. Every body is different and CM has different stages as it transitions. The clingy lube stuff is what you’re looking for!
You basically just have to look for patterns in your body and figure out what does EWCM mean to you or what does creamy look like for you and then mark it that way every cycle!
