I am not a huge fan of balloons for indoor weddings (it can go Senior Prom REALLY easily) but that ceiling looks like it would be really easy to hang Chinese lanterns from. That would give the same aesthetic but a little classier. If you really want to make that aspect pop, you could go all white linens and centerpieces with white chairs, and maybe decorative elements on the chair cushions or the backs of the chairs echoing the colors of the lanterns.

I would do twinkly lights on the ceiling, as many as you possibly can, so it’s like a sky full of them =).

But I looooove twinkly lights.

Not sure about the rest… what are you thinking for centerpieces?

I think the Up themed wedding is adorable. I would suggest using balloon lights(see link at the bottom) in the balloons to make them sparkle and look elegant and less birthday partyish.

I think if you used the balloon lights and hang them from the rafters you can make it look like the reception hall is being carried away.

I wouldnt use helium in these balloon so they can hang down and they can give a soft light.

I dont know if youre a DIY bride but have you seen this DIY post?

I think that would be really cute for cards and be perfect for your theme.

Also you can get a white mail box and paint your names and hand prints on it like they did in the movie.

Also you can probably go to staples and get picture of the house by the waterfall blown up Or get it printed on canvas and have that for your guestbook.

If you aren’t a DIY bride this site may help:

I agree with the pp that you have to be careful with balloons.

These round balloons are fabulous

@leecy87:  Maybe you can pay homage to the movie with some hot air balloon style center pieces? Here are some cute ideas I found. You can have a “Love is in the Air” signs and what not.

@leecy87:  Well, then you definitely don’t want to go with that if they remind you of dorm rooms!

I was originally picturing someting like this:

but if you can find some of the huge round ones in the colors you are looking for, I think that would probably work. I had heard of round balloons, but never really seen them, and it’s amazing how much nicer they look than what they give little kids.

@allyouneedislove:  All it needed was a little facelift and boom, it’s classy! 😀 There are actually some really cute Up themed and hot air balloon themed weddings I saw online. I was very impressed.
