Hello bees and happy Friday!
My fiancee and I fell head over heels for an art studio and gallery we visited today for our wedding next year. Everything about it is perfection but I’m at a loss trying to figure out how to decorate or add our own personal touch to the decor. This venue is completely different than what I THOUGHT I wanted (funny how that always happens, huh?). Its very modern with beautiful floors, exposed bricks, chocolate beams and color art work.
Any and all suggestions would be fantastic.

CocoClassic: Wow! What a gorgeous venue. I would not try to compete with the beautiful colors in the artwork. I think this is a perfect setting for wood and white or green- wood boxes, green plants or succulents, etc

CocoClassic: Wow, gorgeous! I honestly wouldn’t do anything to decorate! I wouldn’t want to compete with the art. Simple, modern table decorations would be the only thing I’d do.

Whoa, yeah that venue is amazing. I would do minimal decorating, and go with greenery and white flowers such as PP suggested.

You could also do white cloths with mirror table runners. The candles would really sparkle atop the mirror, and I love the contrats with the wood boxes. You can get cheap unframed mirrors at WalMart.

Thank you for your replies. We are literally starting from scratch and since this venue is so completely different than what I thought we were going for, I feel a little lost in the sauce. I like the idea of not competing with the beautiful design elements. This design was really to my liking – We can connect tables with Ivory table cloths and have these running side-by-side down the middle. And since we will have high cocktail rounds we can put single cans on those tables.
I think it will look pretty awesome!

I wouldn’t do much! I’d stick with simple white tables, maybe wooden chairs, and some simple centerpieces that don’t compete or clash with the space.

I really like the can idea. I think you could mix sizes too. I like the the idea of white flowers and greenery but if you wanted a little color (but not too competitive) a simple ribbon or painted stripe is still modern. Keeping most of your decor white with just little accents of color would be beautiful. I love your space.
