What an amazing venue with a great urban vibe – what color scheme are you going for?  Do you have a theme?

I’m also getting married at Sloss. We are having the ceremony at the spray pond and the reception at the water tower. Unfortunately our guest list was too large to hold both at the water tower. The pics of the reception off the website are actually pics of my friends wedding reception! It was beautiful. I don’t know if you’ve been to a wedding at Sloss, but it really doesn’t take much to make it look amazing. Her centerpieces were very simple, but I loved them. Tall cylinder vases with a single calla lillie. Greenery and lights were on the rails of the stairs. You don’t want to get too crazy with the decorations or I feel it will take away from the beauty of the furnaces. I like the idea of calla lillies or other large flowers. I LOVE submerged flower centerpieces. With all the open space since it is outdoors, I think tall centerpieces are great for the venue. We are using sunflowers and gerbera daisies. We can use fewer stems keeping it simple, but the flowers are large enough to keep it from being too plain. You should see if Joy has any suggestions! She is fantastic!! Good luck planning!
