Might I ask what the weather is like up in Lake George, NY? If humidity is an issue (since you said you battle frizz) might I suggest an in between? Perhaps moderate straightening and then added or 1.5″ barrel curls?

Your curly hair will hold iron curls beauitfully I’m sure and with the right product your stylist should be able to prevent frizz. Curls tend to hide thin hair better than straight. In My Humble Opinion.

I would do like a curly loose up do-sort of a gibson girl look with curly tendrils. You’d be surprised at how much volumn you can get when you rat-comb it

@UpstateCait:  That second pic of you is too cute!  What do you think of something like these (of course, modified to your hair length and w/o bangs):

I have similar hair to the OP and plan on a half up,half down style as well.  Funny but since my hair is naturally curly, I have never really experimented with a curling iron style.

@melisslp: Those are all so pretty!  I especially love the last one.

@UpstateCait:  Your welcome, my hive friend!  I love the first pic too, hence the reason I posted it first!  Wink  I think something like it would really look lovely on you.  Use the body and curl to your advantage, but just soften it up a bit with a big iron.  I also think it really compliments the “feel” you’ve created with your theme and your dress!  Keep me posted!!!  (crossing fingers Mom loves it too)
