HonoraryNerd: Would it like pop open in my face?
I really like the idea, but it would probably scare the crap out of me! haha

They are cute.. but yeah, confetti annoys me, even if there are easy ways to clean it up.
Also.. I wonder how much those would be to ship?

I think it would be super cute but I agree, some probably would be annoyed by the mess.

I would hate it. I don’t appreciate when other people make messes in my house.

It’s cute and fun! If that’s your personality, go for it! It’d be sooo much better than all the boring save the dates that people use now, anyways. Maybe a handful of people will be annoyed, but there’s also a group of people who will love it! These people are excited you’re getting married and they know you. 🙂

citysparkle: It’s not so much that we want bright and colorful or nontraditional, although we sorta do. It’s more that it’s a confetti mini-cannon and we use them all the time! Someone’s birthday? Confetti cannon! Graduation? Confetti cannon! Some random celebration? Confetti cannon! Although we do only shoot or aim them outside. We’ve already decided we’ll use several at the wedding, maybe some small ones for all the guests. Using it for the save the date really would be a very “us” thing, but I don’t want to annoy guests and turn them off to coming.

HonoraryNerd: I think it’s a cute unique idea, but TBH I wouldn’t enjoy opening it and having a mess.

Actually I think it would depend upon when I opened it. Sat morning brunch with mimosa – no biggie. HOme after a 14 hr day to find dog puke and then have a confetti cannon….I doubt if I’d actually follow through, but the evil part of me would consider making your wedding present several checks run through a paper shredder.

fascinated: Haha, just for you, the thank you card would be another popper with the checks as the confetti.

HonoraryNerd: Hell yes I love this! Everyone can get over it, hardly something to stop talking to you over so don’t worry! For every 1 person who gets annoyed there’ll be 2 who are amused! I would do this if I hadn’t already sent out save the dates.

HonoraryNerd: invite me, I think it’s fucking brilliant! Especially with your obsession with confetti cannons, how could you say no to that?? And the people that receive the invitations will know you love them and they’ll just laugh about the mess, like “oh yeah, that’s really *nerdy* what else would they have used”…
if you wanna be nice, put a sticker on some of them (for those people that you diresee acting like most respondents here ;)) saying “best opened outside” or such.
oh and fwiw I have a baby and still would be totally into it!!

I would love it! Maybe attach a note saying to open it over a surface that can be easily swept or something?
