I think it’s fun and wouldn’t be annoyed about the clean up. It’s not like you’re adding a confetti cannon in there that will throw confetti all over my apartment. I do think that it would be very costly to mail though.

It’s cute but I would be quite annoyed with the mess, especially since I guess I would be opening it in my own home and therefore I would have to clean up said mess.

We haven’t decided yet. We won’t be sending Save the Dates for a while (the wedding isn’t until NEXT fall), so right now we’re just gathering ideas. I just like getting as much knowledge as possible before choosing one way or the other.

Fun! Just don’t use ANY GLITTER whatsoever.

I would be annoyed and the whole thing would wind up in the garbage. And a note telling me to step outside while I open it? Seriously? Ain’t nobody got time for that!

People are so uptight about the most ridiculous things. Cleaning up a little confetti from a lovers ones near invite? Big deal. I think it’s very fun/cute/unique. Having said that, I do also think it lacks formality, even for a casual wedding.
Maybe because of the colors in conjunction with confetti? Might look a little more formal with your wedding colors (say if you are doing a pink, gold and ivory wedding, you could have a ivory canister with pink and gold confetti, etc.).

I hate this. Sorry. I would be so pissed. I hate getting Christmas cards with glitter on them, so confetti and a string and cards, and this arts and crafts project is a big no no.

OTT , seems to be trying too hard. I think it would be better for actual wedding invite

I would curse you if I got that. Sorry.
What it comes down to is that 50% of people are going to tsy “wow how cute and awesome!”. And the other 50% will hate your guts (at least for a few minutes). Your choice.

OH MY GOD PEOPLE ARE SUCH NEGATIVE NANCIES AND TOO DAMN UP TIGHT!
I love this idea! I think it is adorable and so unique. I would be excited to come to your wedding because it would seem like it was going to be super fun!

it looks like fun to me! i can see how a lot of people wouldnt be too thrilled to clean up afterwards though.. maybe think about who youre sending them to and decide if its worth it?

Why is it uptight to not want some surprise package in the mail to not vomit confetti all over my house? It’s really insensitive! And if I get an unexpected package that warns me to open it outside, I’m never going to open it. It’s probably going to arrive when I’m at work, and if I’ve just walked in the door after a long day, the last thing I want to do is go back outside. No thanks! It’ll get put in the pile of other mail I don’t feel like opening straight away, and eventually forgotten.

I am totally on the fence. I would super love it, I think it would be so fun to open the mail and have something so happy to open! But I know most of my guests would have been sooooo annoyed!

i wouldn’t want to open it if a package came like that, so no.

Does it literally explode open or can you twist the cap off and dump the contents out? Because if that sucker is just going to explode without warning, confetti is going to be the last thing I’m concerned with cleaning up.
