I’m listing them as “Groomsmen: name, name, name.” on the program… so would you list the Honorary Groomsman separately or just do “Groomsmen: name, name, name (honorary).” ? What do you think?

I think either sounds great, but I favor going with honorary groomsman>>name rather than listing his/her name with the rest of the groomsmen and putting (honorary) behind it.
So does this mean that some are more important than others?? (Just curious)
What is an honourary groomsman? Either they are a groomsman or not surely.
@j_jaye: @MistySoda: My fiance’s brother is not able to be at the wedding for unforeseen reasons… I would like to still include him on the program because he was originally planned to be a groomsman.
@Jennuine03: 2 of my BM’s were not able to come to our Destination Wedding (one got pregnant and one had personal circumstances) and they were still my BM’s. The word honourary is kind of insulting. Just call him a groomsman and on the program in brackets after his name put (absent).
We aren’t having programs. It’s lovely. 🙂
I would probably just include him as a regular Groomsmen, to be honest. “Honorary” seems like insult to injury.
