happybee15:  Lovely choice! When is your wedding? If it was me I would put the money that I would spend resetting the already beautiful ring into wedding savings and if I still feel strongly about it after the wedding reset it for an anniversary.

Maybe something like one of these?  They’re from the new Claire Pettiebone collection at Trumpet and Horn.  Your ring is absolutely fabulous as it is though (imo) 😊

I get it, rubies are gorgeous in yellow gold. But, that ring is beautiful. I would have the prongs just redone in yellow and get either a yellow gold band or a yellow gold RHR.

Omg it pains me that you would do anything to that beauty.

happybee15:  Can you just replace the prongs in yellow gold? I have no idea, but it’s worth asking about!

happybee15: Yes, get a yellow gold band instead! That is what I was going to suggest, maybe a thin yellow gold ruby eternity ring. I can’t even fathom the thought of you changing such a ridiculously beautiful ring!

It’s seriously so beautiful as is! Do you think you could have a custom yellow gold setting made, identical, and place each of the stones in it?

happybee15:  oh congrats!!
Well then, you’ve clearly thought it through! I still think it’s really lovely the way it is, but you’re the one looking at it for eternity not me!!

Don’t do anything to it! It’s gorgeous the way it is.

have you thought about keeping the ring you have but changing the prongs holding the ruby to gold? or making the cenre a gold bezel? that would really make the ruby pop in all the white metal and diamonds
