That is strange… but I would just reply with something like, “Sure, no problem.” and leave it be. I mean if you are worried about it while you are watching them, I guess you could bring some baby wipes or something just in case…. Not sure how she would find out about a little puppy tinkle unless she sniffs all of their bellies as soon as she gets home.

Truely an odd request though…

Wow. That is weird. Even weirder that she sent you an email instead of saying it to your face. Really nice that she asks you to dog-sit and then scolds you for something stupid and out of your control.

Besides, how long does it take for her to “bathe” a puppy? 1 minute????? I’d say offer to give the puppy a bath if it’s such a big deal. Sheesh.

Oh, and never do her a favor ever again. 🙂

Uh, yeah, that is odd.  I don’t get it.  And why did she not address it when she was there when it happened?

Um dogs pee? How weird. I don’t see how peeing outside is an accident, but I would just say ” Okay sure” and ignore it.

“Sure, no problem… but you might want to spend some more time toilet training them.”

Accidents happen. When we were still toilet training my puppy, she climbed into my lap one day, and started to pee. And I’m not talking a little bit… like full on “I’ve been holding this for hours” pee… wasn’t the dog’s fault, she wasn’t fully trained yet. But she was a fair bit younger than 5 months, too…

I would probably tell her next time she doesn’t have to stop LOL!

I’d just say “I’ll do my best!”, and then if one of them does do it (although since when do dogs pee lying on their backs??), then just say “sorry; i wasn’t able to do anything about it”. worst case, she won’t ask you to watch her dogs again.

as @maugerette06 said, I would say something to the effect of, I’m not sure I can control that, so maybe you can let me know whe. they’re finished potty training and in the meantime I’ll limit my contact with them.

I mean seriously… 5months old and not trained? Theyre getting old enough at this point that she might have issues getting them fully trained at all!
