It’s a beautiful color! And I 100% agree with you, when I saw it I immediately thought that gem needs to be in a halo setting!

My vote would be half moons!

marriedalready69:  I’m generally hit or miss with halos, but I think that stone would be gorgeous with a halo around it.

I would probably go for the solitaire with half moons on either side, if it was me. But … that’s just me. I totally think it needs rose gold, though. Is that a crazy idea?

I think it would look lovely in a micropave pillow setting, like Kim K’s Lorranie Schwartz engagement ring, but I know many are not a fan of that look. 🙂

I’m sure it will look fabulous in any setting! Keep us posted. 🙂

I’d go with a vintage style platinum setting with filigree. It’s a large and uniqueness stone so put it in a setting that wont be completely dominated by it. Plus a little extra while metal will make the color seem brighter.

What a fantastic stone! It is gorgeous! It would look stunning in rose gold, but would be more wearable in white gold or platinum.

marriedalready69:  Oh, it would absolutely look fantastic in a white metal. I think I’m biased because I love my LBT set in the rose gold. And it looks so much different set in rose than it would have in white. I think I like the contrast between cool stone and warm metal tone. Also, this stone, at least from the picture, looks like it has a really lovely, smoky sort of quality to the color.

Like I said, I may just be totally crazy. (Wouldn’t be the first time — ha, ha!

I do think some sort of filigree (sp?) would look amazing with it. Give it a really pretty and vintage sort of look.

longtimemrs:  I love your lbt in rg, so I was picturing rg for this spinel too!

marriedalready69:  if you have another ring you’re doing rg with, and you’re not seeing it with this baby, I’d do a pave (sparkly pave with smoky blue green, yum)  on platinum with no halo or side stones. let that beauty sing! But my taste can be pretty simple (I like to call it classic😇), so take it with a grain of salt!

marriedalready69:  I’m thinking super petite halo with Yellow Gold, maybe a tiny split shank… Whoa, big pic(sorry)!
